Lewis & Clark College

Won 12 gold medals in Northwest Conference and NAIA District competition  in track & field over four years; twice he competed in the NAIA national championship meet, finishing 5th in the 800 as a senior; the NWC and district 440 champion as a sophomore and 880 champion in both meets as a junior and senior; had personal bests of 48.4 in the 400 meters and 1:50.6 in the 800; ran on 1965 4x400 meter relay that set L&C record of 3:17.0; member of three NWC and four district championship teams.
