Lewis & Clark College

Clay participated on the L&C rowing team before it became a varsity sport in 1999, and following her graduation in 2001 she moved to Australia and became a member of the national rowing team. She has competed in the Rowing World Championships, Australian Rowing Championships, been named the 2011 NSW Oarswoman of the Year, and represented Australia in both the 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2012 London Olympics.
