A four-year starter at offensive tackle for the football team and member of the 1976 Northwest Conference Track & Field Championship Team as a shot-putter. Was a two-time All-Conference selection and a unanimous choice for the All-NAIA District 2 and Little All-Northwest teams. In 1977 hew was selected NAIA division III Honorable Mention All-American. During his time at L&C, Pinder was considered one of the best pass protection blockers in the area.
