Hall of Fame
Thomas will go down as one of the top distance runners in school history. Over the course of her four years, Thomas led the cross country program to new heights, while racking up numerous accolades in cross country and outdoor track & field. A decade after graduating, Thomas still ranks in the top-five in six different categories, including the fourth-fastest 6K time in cross country program history and the second-fastest 5K and 10K marks in outdoor track & field. Thomas was pivotal to cross country winning the NWC Title for the first three times in program history (2010-2012) and qualifying for a spot at the NCAA Championship Meet as a team in 2012. That fall, Thomas finished first at the NWC Championship Meet and placed 46th at the NCAA Division III National Championship Meet (third-best finish in program history).
Thomas proved to be just as fearsome on the track in the spring. She is the only woman in NWC Championship Meet history to win both the 5,000m and 10,000m at the same meet in two separate years (2012 and 2013). As a senior, she was named the NWC Most Outstanding Women’s Track Athlete of the Meet – becoming only the second Pioneer to have won the award. She wrapped up her career as a four-time All-Region honoree, eight-time All-Conference honoree, earned a spot at Nationals for cross country three times and set three program records in outdoor track.
