Dick Voll earned All-Conference First-Team honors as a defensive back in 1950 and 1951 for the Pioneers. As a three-year starter on defense. Dick was pressed into the starting quarterback role after an injury sidelined the starter in the season’s second game in 1952. In 1950, Lewis & Clark led 457 schools in the NCAA College Division in rushing defense and was second in total defense. Dick was the primary punter for three seasons and averaged 37.6 yards per kick. He later served as an assistant coach.
