After losing the first game of the season, the team won eight straight games to finish 8-1 and a perfect 6-0 in the Conference to earn their first of three consecutive conference titles; shut out three Northwest Conference opponents and allowed only four touchdowns in  Conference games, outscoring their NWC opponents 155-27. Coach Fred Wilson was named NAIA District 2 Coach of the Year.
