Barrett was a four-time All-NWC finisher in the 100 meter hurdles, winning the conference in both 1999 and 2000. She was a national competitor for three years in the 100m hurdles (1998, 1999, 2000), and also anchored the 4x100m relay team to a school record at the 2000 NWC Championships (49.17). She currently holds the L&C 100m hurdles record with a time of 14.38 (1999), is second all-time in the 100m dash (12.34), third all-time in the 200m dash (25.61), and is the first L&C track athlete, male or female, to have competed in three straight national championships during the David Fix era. In 2000, she was named the Lois Smithwick Female Athlete of the Year.
