Lewis & Clark College

Earned 13 varsity letters at Albany College from 1930 to 1934 including four in football, four in basketball, four in track and one in baseball; a quarter-back, halfback and punter in football; he averaged 10 points a game in basketball, scoring a third of his team’s points in four years; in track he pole vaulted 11 feet, 6 inches with a bamboo pole, ran the 100 in 10.2 and threw the discus 116 feet.
