A four-year letter winner in football, Jake is a two-time First-Team All-Conference linebacker. He was a key member of the 1962 Pioneer football team that still holds several school records today. During his time at Lewis & Clark, the Pioneers finished second in the Northwest Conference two times. In his final season on Palatine Hill the team finished 7-1-1, holding all opponents to no more than 20 points in a game, which only three other teams have done.
