Hall of Fame
The 1993-94 men’s basketball team qualified for the NAIA national tournament and advanced to the semifinals. Ranked No. 1 in the country, the team was led by NAIA All-Americans Derek Foster and Dinari Foreman. Foster is the all-time career assists leader, second in total steals and fourth all-time in scoring at Lewis & Clark. Foreman is the all-time leader in field-goal percentage for the Pios. Both have been inducted as individuals. Coached by Bob Gaillard, the team went 23-9 overall and set the Pioneers team record for total points and assists in a season. In their Final Four loss to Northern State, the two teams combined for 202 points, which still stands as the 10th-most combined points in a national tournament games.
