PORTLAND, Ore.—
Noah Nelson (800M) and the 4x400M Relay each finished second overall, to lead Lewis & Clark College men's track & field at the L&C Larry Byerly Invite on Friday and Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
In their final regular-season meet of the year, the Pioneers posted four top-50 performances in program history and six top-10 finishes, at their second home meet of the year. The event also marked Lewis & Clark College's Senior Day Meet.
At the conclusion of the meet, Lewis & Clark track & field honored their 11 graduating student-athletes:

In the final track event of the weekend, the Pioneers finished second out of 12 teams in the 4x400M Relay. The quartet of
Harrison Fung,
Jordan Wu,
Jordan Lahusky and
Noah Nelson posted a season-best time of 3:23.45 to finish second behind only Clark University (3:23.15). Lewis & Clark's time moved them into 50
th all-time in school history.
Nelson posted his second-place finish in the 800M. He placed second out of 58 runners and finished behind a runner from NCAA DI Portland State University. Nelson closed in 1:53.29 to finish just 0.57 seconds out first place. Wu took 29
th overall with a mark of 2:02.93. Sophomore
Baba Cisse and Ridderhof ran together in heat six. Cisse (2:10.87) edged Ridderhof (2:12.76) in both runner's first race of the Outdoor season.
Sophomore
Quinn Higgins led six Pioneers competitors in the 1,500M. Higgins placed ninth in a field of 74 runners when he crossed the line in a PR time of 3:56.70. Sophomore
Samuel Garcia added a PR time of his own, as he closed in 4:00.53 to finish 18
th. Ford was just behind Garcia in 19
th place with a time of 4:00.58. Sophomore
Emil Miller (4:12.96) ran a PR time to place 42
nd. Sophomore
John Blockhus (4:17.80) and junior
Theron Plumb (4:19.09) came in 47
th and 50
th overall. Plumb turned in a season-best time in the event.
Junior
Jon Fritz finished in eighth out of 13 in the 100M Hurdles. He crossed the line in 16.72.
Lahusky added a top-10 showing in the 400M. The junior finished ninth out of 38 runners with a time of 50.62.
Fung recorded a PR in the 200M to place 17
th overall. He finished 17
th out of 71 runners with a mark of 22.67.
Junior
Zaren Crockett posted a PR time of 11.95 to finish 65
th in the 100M.
Willis registered the top-finish of any Pioneers field competitor. He placed fifth out of 23 competitors in the javelin. He launched the implement 50.80M (166-08 Feet).
Sophomore
Liam Stanley competed in three throwing events over the weekend. He finished 31
st in the hammer with a heave of 28.93M (94-11 Feet). Stanley finished 32
nd in the discus with a throw of 30.52M (100-01 Feet). In the shot put, the sophomore finished in 34
th place with a mark of 8.41M (27-07.25 Feet).
In the final event of the weekend to finish, first year
Kris Adams placed 12
th out of 17 competitors in the triple jump. Adams turned in a PR leap of 12.22M (40-01.25 Feet).
BY THE NUMBERS
- Lewis & Clarks' 4x400M Relay team moved into the top-100 in NCAA DIII this year with their time. They sit 97th overall and second in the NWC.
- Higgins (tied for 13th) and Garcia (29th) both posted top-30 times in program history in the 1,500M.
- Fung moved into 35th in school history in the 200M with a PR by 0.47 seconds.
- Higgins turned in the eighth-fastest time in the NWC this season in the 1,500M. Adams turned in the 13th-best jump in the conference in the triple jump.

Lewis & Clark will host the 2025 Northwest Conference Championship on Saturday and Sunday. The meet will start at 10 a.m. on both days.
