Box Score SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Lewis & Clark Pioneers ended their 2021-22 campaign with a 74-55 defeat to the Whitworth Pirates on Saturday at Whitworth Fieldhouse.
An unbalanced fourth quarter led to the defeat. Whitworth outscored Lewis & Clark, 26-11, in the final period.
Among the eight Pios seniors who competed in their final game on Saturday, Delsie Johnson scored 18 points and finished with 1,044 points for her three-year career. Her 14.3 points per game average ranks third all-time at Lewis & Clark.

Key Moments
The final quarters of each half played a role on Saturday. After Lewis & Clark led through the first period, Whitworth outscored the Pios, 23-13, in the second. Kimberly Dewey led the Pirates with 15 off the bench for the game.
A 9-0 run by Whitworth (10-5, 5-11 NWC) brought the Pirates in front and they never trailed again.
In the third quarter, Johnson hit a three-point play to bring the Pios back to within 41-40. Piper Curry's layup early in the fourth quarter moved Lewis & Clark to within a single possession again before Whitowrth went on a 13-0 run.
