Box Score TACOMA, Wash. -- In the second quarter of Saturday's 90-83 loss to the one-loss Puget Sound Loggers, the Lewis & Clark Pioneers outpaced the home team by eight points. Out of halftime, Puget Sound outscored the Pios, 29-12.
Trailing by 12 into the fourth, the Pioneers totaled 30 points. Jamison Richards led the Pios for the game with 22 points.
Peyton Romo and Richards scored nine apiece in the second quarter, and the Pioneers shot 59 percent from the floor. Lewis & Clark built a 12-point lead.

Lewis & Clark (7-6, 2-2 NWC) went on a 13-2 run midway through the second quarter. Back-to-back threes by Romo quickly took the Pios from a one-point lead to a 31-24 margin. Delsie Johnson and Jessica Cerne added a bucket each, and Richards hit a three in transition off Cerne's steal.
The Loggers answered with a 10-0 run fueled initially by free throws. Puget Sound went 19 of 28 from the line over the entire game including a 6 of 8 effort in the second. Romo hit a 3-pointer before the end of the half to give the Pios a five-point edge at halftime.
