PORTLAND, Ore. – Lewis & Clark College junior Lauryn Frederickson was named the Northwest Conference Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week after averaging 15.6 points and 9.3 rebounds during a three-game road trip for the River Otters.
Frederickson helped Lewis & Clark open conference play with a road split in Tacoma and converted all nine of her free-throw attempts on the weekend. She posted 18 points and six rebounds while shooting 7-for-12 from the field in a 61-54 loss to the University of Puget Sound on Friday.
On Saturday, Frederickson recorded a season-high 21 points and 13 rebounds in a 72-62 overtime victory over Pacific Lutheran University. She scored six points in the extra period to help secure the win.
The honor marks the first NWC weekly award of Frederickson's career and the first for Lewis & Clark women's basketball since Madilyn Palosi earned Student-Athlete of the Week on Jan. 20, 2025.
Frederickson leads the Northwest Conference with 9.0 rebounds per game and ranks first with a 94.4% free-throw percentage. She also sits sixth in the league in scoring at 12.1 points per game.
