Box Score PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Lewis & Clark Pioneers doubled up the Whitworth Pirates in the fourth quarter to swing a third-quarter deficit into a 55-50 win on Friday night at Pamplin Sports Center.
Jamison Richards, Delsie Johnson and Karli Mukai combined for all 16 points for the Pios in the fourth quarter. Whitworth led by three entering the final period and didn't score over a stretch of 10 minutes in the third and fourth quarters.
Lewis & Clark held Whitworth to 28 percent shooting overall. Johnson finished with 14 rebounds, Lewis & Clark's second-highest individual total this season.
A 14 of 16 performance from the free-throw line helped keep the Pirates in the game.

Whitworth (6-10, 1-6 NWC) outscored the Pios, 15-8, in the second quarter to take control at halftime. Entering the second, the game was tied at 14. Olivia Mayer led the Pirates with nine points in the second quarter, as Whitworth hit 6 of 13 from the field, its best period of the night.
During Whitworth's late stretch without a score, the Pioneers scored the first seven points of the fourth quarter. Mukai and Richards helped the Pios build a 46-42 lead and momentum.
A 3-pointer by Madison Hagen and a bucket and free throw by Mayer brought the Pirates back to within one, 51-50, with 26 seconds left. Richards scored a Pios layup with 12 seconds remaining before Tara Kanashiro's game-tying 3-point attempt missed for the Pirates with four seconds to go.
