NEWBERG and PORTLAND, Ore.—Lewis & Clark College women's indoor track & field posted two program records and eight top-10 marks in program history this weekend at the George Fox Indoor #1 Meet and Portland Indoor #2 Meet.Â

Riley Buese (Mile on Sunday) each set program records, as the Pioneers competed in two meets across the weekend.Â

The Pioneers throwers led the team on Saturday at the George Fox Indoor #1 Meet.Â

McCoy Harmon led three Pioneers in the weight throw, as Lewis & Clark competed in the event for the first time in program history.Â

The junior finished in 16
th place in the event with a new program record mark of 9.88M (32-05.00 Feet). Sophomore
Lillian Besa placed second on the team and in program history with her throw of 8.92M (29-03.25 Feet). Junior Michèe Brika posted the third-best mark in program history when her throw traveled 7.90M (25-11.00 Feet).Â

Nia Pile posted the team's only top-10 finish on Saturday. She placed seventh out of 26 throwers in the shot put. Pile's best toss carried 10.71M (35-01.75 Feet). McCoy Harmon came in 11
th in the event with a throw of 9.78M (32-01.00 Feet). Besa finished third on the Pioneers with a heave of 8.06M (26-05.50 Feet). Brika took fourth on Lewis & Clark with a mark of 7.54M (24-09.00 Feet).Â

Sophomore
Rose Dinh was the team's lone jumper to compete on Saturday. She finished in 18
th place in the long jump with a mark of 4.49M (14-08.75 Feet).Â

Lewis & Clark had three sprinters compete in the 60M Dash. Sophomore
Faith Kyser led the trio with a time of 8.75. Senior
Tessa Robinson came in just behind Kyser in 8.78 (53
rd place). Junior
Anli Davis came in third on the team with a final time of 9.25.Â

Portland Indoor #2 MeetÂ
Â
Lewis & Clark sent a contingent of mid-distance and distance runners to the Chiles Center on Sunday and saw two student-athletes finish in the top-three of their events.Â

Buese ran the Indoor Mile for the first time in her career and posted the 33
rd fastest time in Division III this season. The senior finished second out of 32 runners with a time of 5:00.98. Her time was a new program record and was just 1.3 seconds behind the winner from the University of Portland. Junior
Madeleine Boyle placed 11
th in the event with a time of 5:20.62. She moved into fourth place all-time in program history in the Mile. Junior
Ali Kerschner was the final Pioneer to compete in the event and she crossed the line in 6:29.94.Â

Sophomore
Callow Soto came in third out of 12 runners in the 400M. She posted the third-fastest time in program history with a PR time of 1:00.85. Junior
Elsie Chin added a fifth-place showing with a mark of 1:01.67. Her time moved her into fifth in program history. Sophomore
Carolyn Mayberry ended the race in 1:11.09.Â

Miriam Reside led five Lewis & Clark runners in the 800M. Reside placed 10
th overall with a final time of 2:35.26. Sophomore
Nadia Cota was second on the team and 13
th overall in 2:40.21. Sophomore
Mackenzie Olver completed the 800M in 2:40.43 to finish 14
th. First years
Talia Tomhave (2:40.67) and
Maeva Conroy (2:43.21) finished back-to-back in 15
th and 16

BY THE NUMBERS
- Lewis & Clark had five mixed relay teams compete in the 4x400M Relay. The quartet of Malia Heien, Elsie Chin, Noah Nelson and Jordan Lahusky finished first out of 11 teams with a time of 3:48.40. They finished 0.96 seconds ahead of a team from D1 University of Portland.Â
- Three Pioneers posted top-12 times in the 800M. Olver (10th), Tomhave (11th) and Conroy (12th) all were running in the event for the first times in their collegiate career.Â
- Lewis & Clark's 4x400M Relay B team of Reside, Soto, Harrison Fung and Quinn Higgins placed fourth overall in 4:04.70. Buese, Boyle, Teagon Aasen and Jordan Wu completed the race in 4:07.87 to place sixth. Olver, Cota, Gavin Sellers and Peter Ford finished in eighth place (4:16.66). Conroy, Tomhave, Evan Markelz and Sam Garcia completed the race in 4:18.07 to finish in ninth place.Â
- Buese's time in the Mile broke Ellie Hull's program record (set in 2022) by 4.72 seconds.Â
