Brecklyn Beighle and
Celeste Schreifels each scored in the final five minutes of the first half to lead the Pioneers to a win in their 2022 home opener. None of the stats from today's game count towards the Pioneers season or career totals because today's game was an exhibition contest.Â

The two goals capped off a dominant first half that saw the Pioneers outshoot the Trojans 13-0.Â

In the 42
nd minute, Schreifels laid off pass to Beighle at the top of the box and Beighle drove a left-footed shot past Everett goalie Yaritza Pelayo for a 1-0 lead at 41:30.Â

Less than two minutes later, Schreifels rocketed a high shot over Pelayo's head for a 2-0 lead at 43:18.Â

Everett grew into the game in the second half and outshot the Pioneers 7-5 but couldn't cut into the Lewis & Clark lead.Â

Sophia Young did not a face a shot in the first 45 minutes. Freshman
Anna Ingadottir made one save over 35:41 of action and fellow freshman
Delaney Jones posted a save in the final 9:19.Â

- Lewis & Clark finished the game outshooting Everett 18-7 and 10-2 on shots on goal. The Pioneers also led 4-2 on corner kicks.Â
- Megan Yanagi, Kate Meinhard and Schreifels each finished with three shots apiece.Â
