Box Score MCMINNVILLE, Ore. -- The Lewis & Clark Pioneers earned their first conference win against Linfield on Sunday afternoon with a 3-0 shutout of the Wildcats. The Pioneers offense was aggressive from the start of the game, outshooting the Wildcats 8-2 in the first half.
Celeste Schreifels scored the first Lewis & Clark goal in the 11th minute of play and picked up an assist on the second score by Becca McCullough, sending the Pioneers into the break with a 2-0 lead. Freshman Sasha Raimondo scored her career-first goal in the 62nd minute of the second half, putting the Pioneers at a 3-0 advantage that they defended until the end of the game.
Sophia Young tended goal for the full 90 minutes of the match, making five saves to keep the Wildcats off the scoreboard.
