Box Score PORTLAND, Ore. -- For the first time in 14 days, the Lewis & Clark Pioneers hosted a home match on Sunday. Despite taking 11 more shots than the Pacific Boxers, the game ended in a 0-0 draw.
Lewis & Clark outshot the Boxers 11-2 in the opening half in a match that saw a combined 35 fouls. Four yellow cards and one red card were issued, the latter against the Pios that left them with 10 competitors from the 72nd minute until the end of the game.
The Pioneers had a goal disallowed in the 59th minute because of a rule new to this season that requires more space between an offensive player and the defensive wall on free kicks. Brecklyn Beighle had seemingly scored from 25 yards out before it was disallowed.

Key Moments
Lewis & Clark went to the offensive early and put up shots by Olivia Cowley, Alexa Myers and Jezza Hutto in the first 17 minutes. The first shots in-frame were in the final half of the period when Hutto and Beighle forced saves by Pacific goalkeeper Catherine Corlett.
Meanwhile, all five saves, a career high, by Pioneers keeper Sophia Young occurred in the second half or overtime, three of which were in the final 12 minutes of regulation. Young made one save in the 99th minute.
The Pios seemingly took the lead in the 59th minute on Beighle's free kick before the officials called it off.
"The goal was disallowed because of the new rule this year where you can't have a player standing next to the defensive wall," Pios head coach Jim Tursi said. "You have to be a yard distance from the left or right of it."
A red card issued to Celeste Schreifels in the 72nd minute put the Pios a player down.
"We played exceptionally well and probably had the best chances. We created the best opportunities throughout the day, even with a player down," Tursi said.
In the overtime periods, the Pios had four shots, three from Beighle.
