Box Score PORTLAND, Ore. -- For the fifth time in as many victories, the Lewis & Clark Pioneers won without yielding a goal during Sunday's 1-0 win over the Whitman Blues at Griswold Stadium.
Sophia Young made two saves as the Pioneers defense held the Blues to four total shots and only one in the second half. Celeste Schreifels scored her fifth goal of the season in the 83rd minute as the game-winner.
Overall, the Pios have won four of their last five and are 6-2-0 since starting the season winless in their first two games.

Key Moments
In the 83rd minute, Schreifels knocked down an attempt to clear by a Whiitman defender just past the top of the 18-yard box and sent a 15-yard laser to the right side of the net. She finished with three goals over the weekend, all of the Pios scores.
Meanwhile, scoring opportunities were few for the Blues (0-8-1, 0-6-0 NWC). Molly Beaulieu's try in the 71st minute was the only on-goal attempt by the Blues in the second half. Alexa Myers, Abby Hayes, Madi Pastores and Olivia Cowley were some of the Pios leaders in minutes who contributed in the back, while Sofia Congram started the match, but left with an injury.
Hannah Hagler, who took the loss for the Blues in goal, saved shots by Brecklyn Beighle and Schreifels in the early second half.
