Box Score TACOMA, Wash. -- Despite putting up 11 shots, seven of which were on goal, the Lewis & Clark Pioneers lost Sunday's road game to the Pacific Lutheran Lutes, 3-0, at East Field.
Celeste Schreifels, the Northwest Conference's leading scorer, and Chloe Helenihi had two shots each that forced Lutes saves. Helenihi finished with a season-high four shot attempts.
Hannah Cecil scored twice for PLU, and Kimber Thomas added another in the later minutes.

Key Moments
Lewis & Clark (9-6-1, 7-5-0 NWC) sent out five shots in the game's first 20 minutes including Schreifels forcing a save by PLU goalkeeper Calie Rose in the third minute. Schreifels had another effort in the eighth minute, while Helenihi had three shots in a six-minute span afterward.
Cecil scored her sixth of the season in the 21st minute on an assist by Vivian Shinall and held the Pios without another shot until the 34th minute. Brecklyn Beighle sent one high, Grace Billings, Alexa Myers and Macy O'Hara forced saves and Helenihi went wide leading to the end of the first half.
The Pioneers had more shots on-goal in the first half, 7-3, and kept the ball in the attacking half 75% of the time. Myers was issued a yellow card in the 25th minute.
Cecil added another score in the 56th minute, while Thomas scored in the 83rd off an assist from Sawyer Anderson. Sophia Young made five saves. Rose ended the match with six saves in one half of play. Shaylin Cesar was in goal during the second half for the Lutes and didn't make a save nor allow a goal. The Pios were limited to one shot in the final 45 minutes.
