Box Score PORTLAND, Ore. -- Celeste Schreifels, who entered Saturday tied for the Northwest Conference lead in points, scored in the 10th and 61st minutes as the Lewis & Clark Pioneers defeated the Whitworth Pirates, 2-0, at Griswold Stadium.
The win is the third for the Pios in their last four games.
Becca McCullough had an assist on the second goal, while Sophia Young made six saves as she and the defense earned their fourth shutout victory of the year.

Key Moments
Lewis & Clark (5-3-1, 3-2-0 NWC) was early to shoot with McCullough's first try in the fifth minute. Seconds prior to Schreifels goal, Brecklyn Beighle forced the first save by Whitworth goalkeeper Kate Nelson. Several minutes after the Pios first tally, Jeni Baez put another shot on goal.
Alexa Myers, Madi Pastores and Sara Klott anchored the back and kept Young from seeing a shot on goal until the 35th minute. Young's workload significantly increased in the late second half. After Schreifels second score, Young made three saves in five-minute span.
Olivia Cowley forced a save by Nelson in the 53rd minute.
