TACOMA, Wash. -- A week after tying the third-best scoring performance in school history, Delsie Johnson matched the eighth-best rebounding total ever for the Lewis & Clark Pioneers during Friday's 66-45 loss to the Pacific Lutheran Lutes at Olson Gymnasium.

Johnson pulled in 19 boards to go with 12 points in the loss. Peyton Romo had a team-high 14 points on 4 of 6 shooting from 3-point range.

A stretch without a field goal from the late first to late second quarter hindered the Pioneers.

Key Moments

Johnson totaled 11 rebounds in the first 16 minutes of the game, and the Pioneers held a 22-16 edge on the boards at halftime. 

Its only lead of the game, Lewis & Clark went ahead 13-11 with just over a minute remaining in the first quarter. The game was tied going into the second, and Pacific Lutheran (7-9, 2-5 NWC) scored the first eight points of the quarter to move back ahead. The Lutes, who average just 36 percent shooting per game, made 40 percent on Friday, including a 50 percent effort in the second half.

Romo came alive in the second half and made 3 for 4 from 3-point range. She added three assists and four rebounds.
