Pioneers lose in road finale

FOREST GROVE, Ore. -- The Lewis & Clark Pioneers lost their final road match of the season, 1-0, to the Pacific Boxers on Saturday at Ledbetter Field. 

Pacific's Adina Goodwin scored the game's only goal in the 30th minute to lift the Boxers to the victory. It was one of two shots on-goal that Pioneers starting goalkeeper Hannah Osmundson faced on Saturday. Lewis & Clark was edged in total shots, 8-7. 

McKenzie Wingard, Kennie Beighle and Anna Saucedo had shots for the Pios, who fell to 3-14-2 overall and 2-12-1 in the Northwest Conference. Ariela Bell had three saves for the Boxers in net. Pacific (1-14-4, 1-11-3 NWC) also held a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks. 

Lewis & Clark will return home on Sunday to host Pacific Lutheran as Kori Swanson and Tasha Addington-Ferris play their final home match for the Pioneers.
