The play began on a Megan Ratfield corner kick that was brought down by Grace Mehlhaff and passed over to an open Jordan who pushed it past the keeper.
With the momentum in their favor, the Pioneers put another one in the net just two minutes later on the teams first penalty kick of the season. The penalty was awarded after a pass from Emily Thompson found Annelise Coxeff who was fouled in the penalty area. Junior Taylor Hudson stepped up to take the PK. Hudson would nearly put one in the net in the final seconds with a hard hit shot that pinged off the post.
The Missionaries knotted the game up at 2-2 with 10 minutes remaining in regulation on a quick pass and shoot.
