Box Score McMINNVILLE, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark women's soccer team fell 2-0 to Linfield in the teams Northwest Conference rematch.
The loss drops the Pioneers to 9-7-3 on the season and 7-6-2 in conference with one game remaining in the 2014 season. The Wildcats improve to 14-4 overall and 11-4 in the NWC. The last time the two sides met the Wildcats earned a 3-2 overtime victory.
Both Linfield goals came in the second half of action, where the Wildcats outshot the Pioneers 11-3. Linfield held an 18-4 advantage in shots for the game. Despite the shot advantage, Geena Fong was only faced with four shots on goal, making two saves.
Taylor Hudson, Emily Thompson, Anna Thorndike and Kylie Carera each finished with a shot.
Lewis & Clark wraps up the season on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 11 a.m. at Puget Sound.
