Box Score SALEM, Ore. - A goal just three minutes into the game by junior Megan Ratfield lifted the Lewis & Clark women's soccer to a 1-0 victory at Willamette in Northwest Conference action on Wednesday night.
The Pioneers are now 7-4-2 on the season and 5-3-1 in conference play. The Bearcats slip to 2-10-1 overall and 1-7-1 in NWC action.
Ratfield's goal came quickly for the Pioneers with the junior putting the ball in the near post off a corner kick.
The Pioneers finished with a 9-4 edge in corners, while the Bearcats outshot the Pioneers 10-6. Geena Fong picked up her fourth shutout of the season, while being forced to make just three saves in goal for the Pios.
Lewis & Clark returns to the field on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 12 p.m. at George Fox.
