Soccer Ties with Pacific Lutheran in Double Overtime

PARKLAND, Wash. - The Lewis & Clark women's soccer team tied their battle with the Pacific Lutheran Lutes this Saturday in double overtime at East Field. The tie brings the Pioneers to 1-5-1 on the season, and 1-2-1 in Northwest Conference (NWC) play. The Lutes record changes to 2-0-3 on the season, and 0-0-3 in NWC play.

Freshman Pioneer goalkeeper Savanna DeCota played the entire match for Lewis & Clark, picking up seven saves from 12 shots by Pacific Lutheran.

For the Lutes, goalkeeper Marisa Gonzalez had five saves from Lewis & Clark's eight shots. Leading the shooting for the Pioneers was freshman Taylor Hudson, who had four shots, three of which were on goal.

The Pioneers play again at home next Saturday, Sept. 29 against Pacific University at 12 p.m.
