Women's Soccer Battles to 0-0 Draw With Willamette After Double-Overtime

SALEM, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark women's soccer team battled to a 0-0 draw against the Willamette Bearcats on Saturday afternoon in a Northwest Conference game.

The Pioneers are now 1-4-2 on the season and are still in search of their first conference win with a 0-2-1 record. The Bearcats pickup their first draw of the season to take their record to 2-4-1 overall and 1-1-1 in conference play.

The Lewis & Clark defense was busy with Willamette unleashing 22 shots, 13 of which were on goal. Junior goalkeeper Elise Delgado played the entire contest, picking up the complete game shutout, after coming up with 11 saves. The Pio defense did their job, contributing two team saves.

Offensively, the Pioneers only managed six shots with Emilia Emmetti leading the team with two.

Lewis & Clark returns home for its next contest, hosting Pacific at noon for another Northwest Conference showdown.
