SPOKANE, Wash. – It was a tough day for
the Lewis & Clark women's soccer team who dropped a 4-0
Northwest Conference decision to the Whitworth Pirates on Saturday
afternoon at the Whitworth Soccer Field.
The Pirates are now 9-3 overall and 7-1 in conference play. The
Pioneers slip to 2-7-2 on the season and 0-7 in the NWC.
Whitworth got on the board early, finding net in the fourth
minute of the game. The Pirates found goal again fifteen minutes
later to take a 2-0 advantage. Whitworth squeezed one more goal in
during the first half to take a 3-0 lead into the intermission.
Whitworth concluded the scoring in the 56th minute with
its fourth goal of the contest.
Katrina Weisbecker and Emilia Emmetti had the Pioneers two
shots.
Lewis & Clark returns to action on Sunday, Oct. 10 at noon
when they take on the Whitman Missionaries.
