Women's Soccer Unable To Stop Pacific In 4-0 Loss

FOREST GROVE, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark women's soccer team started its weekend road trip on the wrong foot, falling to the Pacific Boxers 4-0 at the Lincoln Park Stadium on Saturday.

The Boxers improve to 7-7-3 on the season after scoring two goals in each half. The Pioneers fall to 3-11-1 on the season with the loss.

In the first half, the Boxers outshot the Pioneers 9-3 and found the goal on two occasions. Kaitlyn Harper converted pass from 10 yards out to break the 0-0 tie in the 24th minute. In the 37th minute, Tianna Homad added to the Pacific lead when she tapped the ball past Lewis & Clark goalkeeper, Elise Delgado, into the opposite corner of the goal.

In the second half, Jenny Novak found the net in the 53rd minute to give Pacific a 3-0 lead. In the 66th minute, Sekema McCarthy dribbled through defenders to score and increase the Boxer lead to 4-0.

The Pioneers return to the road on Sunday, Nov. 31 when they take on the George Fox Bruins at 12 p.m.
