PORTLAND, Ore. – It was a tough day for
the Lewis & Clark women's soccer team who dropped a 2-0
Northwest Conference decision to Willamette on Saturday afternoon.
The Pioneers fall to 2-2-3 on the season and 1-2 in the NWC, while
the Bearcats improve to 3-3-1 overall and 2-1 in conference.

Rosenthal that found its way into the right side of the net from
five-yards out. Willamette scored its insurance goal 15 minutes
into the second half, with a shot from 10-yards out from Ariel
Wilson.
Freshman Katrina Weisbecker tried to put the Pioneers on top
first, with a shot on frame just six minutes into the game, but the
shot was met by the Willamette goalkeeper. Junior Katie Browning

but suffered the same fate as Weisbecker.
The Pioneers were unable to muster up much offense, only
registering six shots for the game, while the Bearcats recorded 13.
The Bearcats also had a 5-2 advantage in corner kick
opportunities.
Browning and Weisbecker led the Pioneers in shot attempts, with
both players posting two shots. Freshmen Gina Watkins and Lexi
Bolton both had one shot in the game.
