The Pioneer women's soccer team finished off their roadtrip with
a 6-0 loss to the Whitman Missionaries Sunday in Walla Walla (boxscore).
Whitman scored three goals in the first and three in the second
period, all against Nora Germano (senior, Los Altos, Calif. Germano
also had six saves. Whitman took a total of 24 shots in the game.
The Pioneers were not without scoring chances of their own. They
took 12 shots, including seven by Lisa Housman (senior, Beverly
Hills, Calif.). The Missionaries goalkeeping tandem had six saves
on the afternoon.
With the win, the Missonaries improve to 4-4-3 (3-2-2 NWC). The
Pioneers finish out their first trip through the NWC opponents with
a 1-7 mark. They are now 1-8-1 overall.
The Pioneers face another tough road trip next weekend,
traveling to Tacoma to take on Puget Sound and Pacific Lutheran
next Saturday and Sunday. Both games are at 12 noon.
