Senior midfielder Ben Schwartz recorded a goal and his first career assist in men’s soccer’s Sunday’s 4-4 draw with Linfield, as the Pioneers scored their highest total since returning to varsity play. Schwartz redirected a free kick into the lower corner in the 32nd minute, then flicked a throw-in ahead to set up Alex Woods’ first collegiate goal in the 73rd. He became only the second player since the program’s restart to finish with three points in a game. Schwartz’s goal ranks as the fifth fastest and his assist as the fifth latest in program history during the modern era.
