NEWBERG/PORTLAND, Ore.ā Lewis & Clark College women's track & field posted four program records, two each at the George Fox Indoor #1 and Portland Indoor #2 Meets, as part of a standout weekend for the program.

Besa and Dinh each notched program records and junior
Carolyn Mayberry added a top-five mark in program history on Saturday.Ā

Besa broke the program record in the weight throw by a meter, when she launched the implement 11.61M (38-01.25 Feet). The junior placed 10
thĀ out of 17 in the event with her new PR throw.Ā

Dihn added a program-record mark in the long jump. The junior finished in second place with a leap of 5.10M (16-08.75 Feet). Senior
Anli Davis came in 13
thĀ overall with a jump of 4.06M (13-04.00 Feet).Ā

Nia Pile was the final River Otter to compete in the field events. She placed fourth out of 14 throwers in the shot put with a mark of 10.84M (35-06.75 Feet).Ā

Mayberry led a trio of Lewis & Clark runners in the 60M Hurdles. Mayberry placed 16
thĀ with a PR time of 10.43. She moved into fifth in program history with her new PR. Dinh (10.59) and first year
Sofia Figueroa (11.16) placed 18
thĀ and 19
thĀ overall. Figueroa's time moved her into seventh all-time in program history in the event.Ā

Davis was the lone Lewis & Clark competitor in the 60M Dash. She came across in 9.20 to finish in 36

Portland Indoor #2 MeetĀ
Ā
Lewis & Clark tacked on two more program records and four top-10 finishes on Sunday at the Portland Indoor #2 Meet.Ā

Soto opened the meet with a program-record time in the first heat of the day. She ran unopposed in the 300M and crossed the line in 44.40. She ended up finishing seventh out of 17 runners overall in the event.Ā

Chin was the next River Otter to race and she added a program record of her own. The senior placed fourth out of eight runners with a PR time of 1:41.27. She moved into 73
rdĀ in NCAA DIII this year in the event.Ā

Miriam Reside paced five Lewis & Clark runners in the Mile. She finished 11
thĀ out of 29 overall with a PR time of 5:37.28. Her time moved her into eighth in program history in the event. Senior
Emogene Lutz came across second on the team and 22
ndĀ overall with a season-best mark of 5:55.75. Sophomore
Talia Tomhave notched a PR time of 5:55.90 to finish 23

Mackenzie Olver led the River Otters in the 800M. Olver notched a time of 2:48.63 to finish sixth out of eight runners. First year

BY THE NUMBERSĀ
- Besa was competing in the weight throw for just the second time in her career. She improved upon her previous PR by almost nine feet (2.69M).Ā
- Chin (1:41.27) broke the previous 600M record by 2.88 seconds.Ā
- Dinh's leap of 5.10M broke Liska Havel's ('11) record of 4.96M. Havel had held the program record since 2010.Ā
- Soto was the first Lewis & Clark women's runner in school history to compete in the 300M.Ā
WHO'S NEXTĀ

Lewis & Clark will travel to Spokane next weekend for the Whitworth Indoor Invitational on February 13-14. The meet will serve as the team's final regular-season indoor meet this year.
