PORTLAND, Ore.—Lewis & Clark College women's swimming capped off their 2025-26 regular season with three event wins and a third-place team finish at their quad meet on Saturday afternoon.Â

Elise Barton and
Aniqah Gaffoor and junior
Angie Cummings all posted individual event victories to lead Lewis & Clark. Women's swimming notched their first dual meet win of the season and nearly took down NAIA Southwestern Oregon Community College in their final meet of the regular season.Â

The River Otters posted 10 top-three finishes as they competed against Southwestern Oregon and Northwest Conference sides Pacific University and George Fox University.Â

Barton claimed the first win of the day for Lewis & Clark by finishing first out of 13 swimmers in the 200 Free. Barton touched the wall in 2:04.01 to win by 1.34 seconds. First years
Zoe Thorpe (2:09.09) and
Emily McAnally (2:20.08) finished in sixth and 10
th overall.Â

Gaffoor registered her win in the 50 Fly. The senior posted a time of 27.93 to finish first out of eight swimmers. Her time was 1.39 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher from Southwestern Oregon. Senior
Ella Gimon finished in fifth place with a mark of 30.54. Junior
Ainsley Rios (32.28) and senior
Kyra Milner (32.34) placed eighth and ninth overall.Â

The River Otters posted a one-two finish in the 50 Backstroke. Cummings (29.36) and Gaffoor (30.29) dominated the field with the third-place finisher coming across nearly 0.50 seconds back. Sophomore
Xandra Kuenz finished in eighth place with a time of 36.03.Â

Cummings tacked on a second-place showing in the 100 Backstroke. The junior notched a time of 1:01.85 to finish over five seconds ahead of third-place. Sophomore
Claire Hurty touched the wall in 1:08.12 to finish fourth overall. Milner (1:14.00) and Kuenz (1:19.43) placed eighth and ninth overall.Â

Cummings also led Lewis & Clark in the 500 Free. She placed third out of 10 swimmers with a time of 5:44.79. Hurty added a fourth-place showing with a time of 5:54.04.Â

Barton added a second-place result in the 100 Free. She placed second out of 12 swimmers with a mark of 55.47. Gimon finished in fifth place with a time of 59.81. Rios (1:11.72) and senior
Emma Wind (1:19.89) placed 10
th and 11
th overall.Â

Barton also Lewis & Clark in the 50 Breaststroke. The senior finished third out of 14 swimmers with a mark of 34.07. Senior
AJ Schroeder (36.13) and Milner (42.73) placed ninth and 14
th overall.Â

Gaffoor tacked on a third-place result in the 200 IM. The senior finished third out of eight swimmers with a time of 2:36.13.Â

Lewis & Clark added their final second place finish in the 200 Medley Relay. Cummings, Schroeder, Gaffoor and Barton combined for a time of 1:56.13 to finish second overall. The "B" Team of McAnally, Gimon, Hurty and Thorpe placed seventh with a time of 2:07.15.Â

In the final race of the day, Lewis & Clark's "A" Team finished fourth overall. Hurty, Gimon, McAnally and Thorpe notched a time of 1:15.46. The "B" Team of Kuenz, Wind, Rios and Milner combined for a mark of 2:04.99 to place sixth.Â

BY THE NUMBERSÂ
- Lewis & Clark earned their first dual win of the year with their massive victory (171-65) over Pacific. The River Otters have defeated Pacific in four-straight dual meets.Â
- Schroeder placed fifth overall in the 100 Breaststroke. The senior posted a time of 1:18.01.Â
- Cummings wrapped up the regular season with 10 event victories across seven dual meets. She posted at least one event win in all seven dual meets.Â
- Thorpe led Lewis & Clark in the 100 Fly. The first year notched a time of 1:08.40 to finish sixth overall. Schroeder came across in seventh place with a time of 1:10.35.Â
- Gaffoor closed out the regular season with wins in back-to-back dual meets. She won the 100 Fly against Willamette University on Senior Day.Â
- McAnally paced a trio of River Otters in the 50 Free. The first year took eighth place with a mark of 29.36. Rios (31.66) and Wind (36.01) finished 10th and 11th overall.Â
- Barton earned an event victory in each of the team's final five dual meets. She wrapped up the season with six event wins.Â

Lewis & Clark will travel to Boise for the 2026 Northwest Conference Championship Meet. This year's meet will take place from February 13-15.Â
