Cummings notched two victories and Barton and Schroeder each tacked on one win apiece, as Lewis & Clark returned to competition for the first time in two months.Ā

Cummings posted her first win of the night in the 200 IM. The junior placed first out of four swimmers by over three seconds. She touched the wall in 2:23.80 to finished 3.26 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.Ā

Cummings tacked on a win in the 200 Backstroke. Lewis & Clark swimmers finished first, second and third to beat out two Linfield swimmers. Cummings came across in 2:14.54. Sophomore
Claire Hurty (2:27.34) and senior
Aniqah Gaffoor (2:33.21) took second and third overall.Ā

Barton finished first out of eight swimmers in the 100 Free. The senior touched the wall in 55.38 to win by 1.38 seconds. Senior
Kyra Milner placed fourth overall with a mark of 1:06.06. Sophomore

AJ Schroeder notched their first win of the season in the 200 Breaststroke. The senior placed first out of four swimmers with a time of 2:42.80. She finished 8.33 seconds ahead of the top-Linfield swimmer. Senior
Ella Gimon came across in 3:00.07 to take third place.Ā

Lewis & Clark tacked on four second-place finishes and four more third-place showings.Ā

Barton led four Lewis & Clark swimmers in the 200 Free. The senior registered a time of 2:04.26 to finish second out of seven swimmers. First year
Zoe Thorpe took third place with a mark of 2:11.88. Gimon (2:23.69) and Milner (2:30.93) placed sixth and seventh.Ā

Gaffoor placed second out of seven swimmers to lead Lewis & Clark in the 200 Free. Gaffoor notched a time of 26.46. Schroeder came in just behind Gaffoor with a time of 27.36 to finish third. Kuenz placed fifth in the event with a mark of 30.57. Senior
Emma Wind made her collegiate swimming debut in the event. She notched a time of 36.50 to place seventh overall.Ā

Hurty posted the team's final individual second-place finish. The sophomore finished the 1,000 Free in 12:05.21 to place second out of three swimmers.Ā

Thorpe took third out three swimmers in the 500 Free. The first year, who was swimming in the event for the second time this season, posted a season-best time of 5:58.76.Ā

Lewis & Clark opened the meet with a second-place finish in the 400 Medley Relay. The quartet of Cummings, Schroeder, Gaffoor and Barton combined for a time of 4:17.65.Ā

In the 400 Free Relay, Lewis & Clark placed third overall. Hurty, Milner, Gimon and Thorpe combined to register a time of 4:11.56

BY THE NUMBERSĀ
- Schroeder's time in the 200 Breaststroke was a season-best time and the fastest-time by any River Otter this season. Her time was a season-best by 1.78 seconds.Ā
- Five Lewis & Clark swimmers missed Friday's meet due to illness.Ā
- Cummings posted the fastest time by a Lewis & Clark swimmer in the 200 IM this year. The junior's time was the fastest time this year by 1.07 seconds.Ā
- Wind made her swimming debut after missing the first half of the season with an injury.Ā
- Cummings has won at least one event in all five dual meets this season. She has now posted seven event victories this year.Ā

Lewis & Clark will host Willamette University on Saturday at 11 a.m. The River Otters will honor their nine seniors before and after the meet against the Bearcats.Ā
