PORTLAND, Ore. — Lewis & Clark College women's volleyball will welcome five newcomers to Palatine Hill in August, as head coach
Erin Labasan enters her fourth season at the helm. The Pioneers will add three first-years and two junior college transfers to the 2025 roster.
"We're excited to welcome five new Pios to LCVB this fall," Labasan said. "First-years Ariah Potts, Izzy Faulkner and Sadey Kulm bring depth at the pins and on defense. Transfers Abbi Sanchez and Kaitlyn Jensen will hit the ground running, having already experienced college-level ball at College of San Mateo and Edmonds College, respectively.
We brought these athletes into our program for their volleyball capabilities as well as their character, and we're looking forward to adding them to a great group of committed returners."
The five newcomers join nine returners from last fall, including seniors
Reilyn Sabado and
Abby Warrick. The 2025 squad will feature eight student-athletes from the Pacific Northwest and six from Oregon, the most regional players for the program since 1996, when the roster included eight players from Oregon. Beaver State natives Faulkner, Kulm and Potts join juniors
Kenzie Edwards and
Isabel Meleán-Williams, along with Warrick. Jensen joins Sabado in representing the northern neighbors in the Evergreen State.
