Men's Soccer Announces 2025 Class

The Pioneers are bringing in players from three states and one U.S. territory

PORTLAND, Ore.—Lewis & Clark College men's soccer coach Fraser Morrison announced his first recruiting class on Wednesday afternoon. The Pioneers are adding seven first years to the roster ahead of the 2025 season with players coming from Puerto Rico, California, Oregon and Washington. 
 
This year's class is comprised of four defenders and three attacking players. Morrison gave insight on each player and what he hopes they will bring to the program. 
 
Ren Fukuoka – Redmond, Wash. – Outside Back/Midfielder
 
Attended Redmond High School … Played club for Crossfire Premier ECNL RL … Led Redmond to a Kingo League Title and District Title and reached the State Quarterfinals during his junior season … Earned Honorable Mention KingCo Crown-Crest Division honors as a senior … Served as the team captain as a senior … Named the Most Improved Player after his junior season. 
 
Coaches Comment: "We are thrilled to welcome Ren Fukuoka, a talented defender from Seattle and XFire in Redmond, WA, to the Lewis and Clark men's soccer program. Ren's composure on the ball and defensive instincts will be a great addition to our team, and we're excited to see him grow within our program."
 
Oscar Hammond – San Francisco, Calif. – Center Attacking Midfielder/Winger
 
Attended the San Francisco Waldorf School … Played club soccer for San Francisco Glens SC … Led his high school team to the CIF-North Coast Section Championship.
 
Coaches Comment: "Oscar is a creative and determined attacker who has the ability to change a game with his vision and finishing. We're looking forward to seeing him make his mark and contribute to the team's success in the years ahead."
 
Brody Kennedy – Eugene, Ore. – Central Attacking Midfielder 
 
Attended Sheldon High School … Played club for Eugene Metros Football Club … Started for Sheldon for four years on the boy's soccer team and three year's for boy's lacrosse … Led Sheldon to the 6A State Playoffs as a senior when they went 10-5-1 and 7-4-1 in the Southwest Conference … Member of the National Honor Society … Received an International Baccalaureate. 
 
Coaches Comment: "Brody Kennedy is a strong technical forward from Eugene. Brody's finishing ability and attacking instincts will be a fantastic addition to our team, and we're looking forward to seeing his impact."
 
Raff Ladd – Ladera Ranch, Calif. – Center Midfielder
 
Attended Santa Margarita Catholic High School … Played club for Pateadores FC … Named the Offensive Player of the Year … Earned All-Soccer honors … Four-year member of the varsity team … Named captain of the team … Member of the honor roll for three years. 
 
Coaches Comment: "Raff is a dynamic and intelligent player whose energy and work ethic will be a fantastic addition to our program both on and off the field. We can't wait to see the impact he will make as he begins his journey here at Lewis and Clark"
 
Parker Mills – Portland, Ore. – Center Back/Outside Back 
 
Attended Beaverton High School … Played club for FC Portland … Served as captain of his high school team as a senior that finished second at the OSAA 6A level … Led his team to a Metro League Title after going undefeated in league play and in the regular-season (12-0-2). 
 
Coaches Comment: "Parker brings great composure, athleticism, and leadership qualities that will strengthen our back line and positively impact our team culture. We can't wait to see the contributions he'll make as a Pio."
 
Kieran Murray – Alameda, Calif. – Full Back 
 
Played club soccer for Alameda Soccer Club … Served as a player representative on the elected board for the club … Selected as captain of the team … Team lead the league in goals against in each of the past three seasons … Father James played basketball at Kenyon College (NCAA DIII) and won the conference title his final two years … His brother Declan played soccer at Grinnell College (NCAA DIII). 
 
Coaches Comment: "We are excited to welcome Kieran Murray, a tall and technical defender, to the Lewis and Clark men's soccer program. Kieran's presence at the back and ability on the ball will be a great asset to our team."
 
Axel Rosa – Caguas, Puerto Rico – Left Back/Center Back/Winger 
 
Attended Thomas Alva Edison School … Played club soccer with Bairoa Futbol Club and Criollos FC … Led his school to the Private School Association (COPSAA) Title as a 7th grader … Helped Thomas Alva Edison finish runner-up in the COPSAA for four-straight years … Won the Most Improved Award as a ninth grader … Member of the Honor Roll. 
 
Coaches Comment: "Defender Axel Rosa will add depth to the back line. A Puerto Rico native, he is known for his proficiency on delivering crosses and long balls, his work rate, will power and endurance."
