LA GRANDE, Ore.—Lewis & Clark College women's lacrosse tied their program record for most goals and biggest win margin on Saturday in a 19-2 road win over Eastern Oregon University.Â

Mack Searle tied the program record with six goals and sophomore transfer
Aviana Gonzales matched the program record with eight points (five goals and three assists) on a banner day for the program.Â
Â
Lewis & Clark scored five goals in each of the first three quarters and added four more in the fourth in their first-ever meeting with Eastern Oregon.Â

Searle scored six goals in the first 41 minutes to become the third player in program history to notch a double hat trick. She added one assist, a ground ball and a caused turnover.Â

Gonzales and sophomore
Sage Swegle each finished with five goals. Gonzales tacked on a team-leading three assists to match Swegle's eight-point performance from 2024. Swegle registered five goals, two ground balls and two caused turnovers.Â

Kate Meinhard (two goals) and sophomore
Finley Allen (one goal) also found the back of the twine. Sophomore
Evelyn Burnett tacked on an assist to round out the Pioneers point total.Â

Kaitlin McRae made four saves on six shots to move to 2-1 on the season.Â

Lewis & Clark raced out to an 8-0 lead. Allen and Meinhard opened the scoring with two goals in the first 4:33. Searle would take over from there, as she scored her first three goals to make it 5-0 after one.Â

Gonzales (two) and Searle combined for three more goals in the first seven minutes of the second to make it 8-0. After the Mountaineers got on the board with 6:11 left, Searle and Gonzales (hat trick) each added one more goal to close out the half.Â

Lewis & Clark would open the second half on a 9-0 run to extend their run to 11-0 overall.Â

Swegle recorded three of the Pioneers five goals in the third quarter with Searle and Gonzales adding a goal apiece.Â

In the fourth, Gonzales and Meinhard scored early and Swegle tacked on the final two goals to make it 19-1 with 2:53 to play. The hosts scored a free-poisition goal with under two minutes to play to account for the final score.Â

BY THE NUMBERS
- Searle's six goals in a single game matched Swegle's (Pacific) and Meinhard's (Puget Sound) six-goal performances from the program's first season.Â
- The Pioneers tied their program record for goals (19), winning margin (17) and goals allowed (two) from last Saturday's 19-2 non-conference win over Pacific Lutheran University.Â
- Searles has posted a hat trick in every game this season.Â
- First year defenders Ava Mullen and Kaedance Stubbs each posted two caused turnovers and Mullen added two ground balls.Â
- Gonzales' eight points tied Swegle's eight-point performance (five goals, three assists) against Augsburg University from 2024. She also tied Swegle's program record three assists in a single game that was also set against the Auggies.Â
