Women’s Lacrosse Adds Depth, Versatility to 2026 Roster

First-year quartet adds speed, control in goal and long-term defensive presence.

PORTLAND, Ore.— Lewis & Clark College women's lacrosse third-year head coach Lindsay Newman welcomed four first-year student-athletes to Palatine Hill for the 2026 season.

"We have a standout group of first-years who will make a significant impact in the conference," Newman said. "Ala is one of our most dynamic attackers, and she is someone the NWC should take notice of. Phoebe and Merrick are two of the most composed goalkeepers I've worked with, and we are excited to see them compete in conference play. Although Chayce is sidelined with an injury this season, I have watched her grow into an exceptional defender. We saw what she is capable of during the fall, and we look forward to her contributions next year."
