Why Lewis & Clark?: I have always dreamed of going to college in Oregon, so when I heard Lewis & Clark was having a prospect camp for lacrosse, I knew I had to check it out. When I arrived, I was already blown away by the greenery and beauty of the campus. It is truly everything a student-athlete like myself could ever ask for, from a great community on campus, spirited and fun campus life, and outstanding professors who would make you feel like someone in that class and not just another number at the school.

When we went on a tour of the campus, I fell in love with it more and more. The spacious and cozy dorms are located in the most gorgeous section of the campus. All the buildings here are unique, from the admissions building to each student housing building. The whole campus is just beautiful.

Not only am I a big fan of green space and forestry, but I am also very into sustainability. The school is also very focused on being sustainably friendly. This shows in the vegan/vegetarian options offered to everyone, campus pick-ups, environmental club, making sure every dorm has a recycle bin, and more, showing just how environmentally friendly it is. I myself am a vegetarian, and having options far and wide for food is something very special to me. I plan to major in Environmental Studies, which happens to be one of L&C's more popular majors.

Along with the lacrosse aspect of the school, I know it is a newer program, which I love personally. With new programs, you can help build them up, learn new things from coaches and create a great environment for those coming into the program. The amazing athletic department is continuing to grow and get better.

I haven't seen anything quite like Lewis and Clark before. Just stepping onto this campus last year for a tour and a Lacrosse prospect camp, I knew I wanted to be here. My family and friends knew this school was perfect for me and that it would be a fantastic opportunity for me as well. All of these reasons and more are why I chose this amazing school.
