Ezra Billings picked up where he left off last season. Billings won his fifth career Northwest Conference Men's Student-Athlete of the Week award on Monday.Ā

The reigning Northwest Conference Men's Swimmer of the Year won all four of his individual races, and added a win in the 400 Free Relay, in the River Otters first two meets of the season.

Billings won the 50 Free and 100 Free against both Whitman College (Friday) and defending NWC Champions Whitworth University (Saturday). He swam the fastest time in the conference on Friday in the 50 Free (21.22) and posted the second-best mark in the 100 Free (47.39).

The Alaska native teamed up with seniors
Michael Spicer and
Zach Martin and sophomore
Sam LoCurto to win the 400 Free Relay on Friday night. The quartet posted a time of 3:16.30 to beat Whitman's top relay team by 5.99 seconds.Ā

On Thursday night, Billings will be honored at the Oregon Sports Award. He was named the Oregon Small College Men's Collegiate Athlete of the Year in early October.Ā

Lewis & Clark swimming will return to action on Friday night, when they travel to take on the University of Puget Sound at 6 p.m.Ā
