PORTLAND, Ore.—Lewis & Clark College track & field set three indoor program records on Sunday afternoon at the Portland Indoor Open #2 Meet.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED

Women's freshman
Malia Heien set the first program record of the day for the Pioneers. Heien, who was competing in the women's 800M at the collegiate level for the first time, finished third overall and broke the previous program record by over six seconds with a time of 2:20.25.Â

It wouldn't take long for the next program record to be broken. Fellow freshman
Noah Nelson paced five Pioneers in the men's 800M. He broke the previous program record by a second, after finishing in 2:00.88 to take seventh place. Sophomore

Liam Rickey (2:04.56) and junior
Frankie Reid (2:05.08) coming in 11

The Pioneers tacked on a third program record in the final event of the meet. The Pioneers 4x400M relay team of freshman

Macy O'Hara got the day started off strong for the Pioneers in the women's 200M. O'Hara came in sixth place with a time of 26.83. Senior
Sarah Carney took 26
th in the event with a time of 32.01.Â

Guest led a quintet of Pioneers in the men's 200M. The Pioneers dual-sport athlete finished in 11
th place (23.93). Harrison came in second on the team and 20
th overall with a time of 25.24. Laskey finished in 26.24 (24
th) and Smyth (26.77) and Madhavan (27.98) rounded out the Pioneers five runners.Â

Lahusky and Biaggi represented Lewis & Clark in the men's 400M. Lahusky took 11
th place (52.20) and Biaggi came in 21
st (55.33).Â

In the women's mile, sophomore
Marion Jones (6:00.07) finished in 26
th overall. Senior
Hanna Callinan crossed the line in 6:26.51 to finish 34
th.Â

Aidan Ridderhof led four Pios in the men's mile. Ridderhof registered a 12
th place showing with a time of 4:34.10. Freshman
Joseph Naylor (4:47.26) barely edged out junior
Dylan Souza (4:51.22) and junior
Brandon Apresa (5:01.09).Â

Emogene Lutz and
Ali Kerschner competed in the women's 3K. Lutz notched a 13
th place showing (11:16.19) and Kerschner took 21
st (12:25.27).Â

Miles Voenell paced six Pioneers runners in the men's 3K. Voenell took 26
th place with a time of 9:09.82. Freshman
Theron Plumb (9:16.07) and junior
Nate Bay (9:20.91) finished second and third on the team. Sophomore

Rigo Castellanos (9:28.98) and sophomore
Mike Reem (9:36.94) rounded out the six Lewis & Clark runners in the event.Â

The Pioneers rounded out the day in the women's 4x400M relay. O'Hara, freshman

th place with a time of 4:38.38.Â

BY THE NUMBERS
- The Pioneers have run the 4x400M twice this season and set the program record both times. Biaggi and Nelson have been apart of both record-setting performances.Â
- O'Hara's time in the 200M was the second-fastest time in program history. Her time of 26.83 seconds was just .07 seconds behind Nicole Godbout's record (26.76) that she set in 2017.Â
- Heien ranks 74th among NCAA Division III runners this year in the 800M.Â
- Lahusky's time in the 400M (52.20) is tied for third in program history.Â
