Box Score 3 PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Lewis & Clark Pioneers will begin Northwest Conference play next weekend and, on Saturday, ended preparations with a doubleheader sweep against the Eastern Oregon Mountaineers at Huston Sports Complex.
Alyssa Abe hit a walk-off single in a 6-5 win to begin the day, and then pitched a complete-game, one-run victory, 2-1, in the finale.
Alyssa Hoeke went 2 for 2 in the first game, while Olivia Brackin hit a two-run home run in the second, to lead the Pios offensively.

Game 1 | Key Moments
The Mountaineers scored three in the second to take a 4-2 lead. EOU had an error-filled game including five errors, which allowed the Pioneers to take a 2-1 edge in the first.
Brackin singled in a run in a the second, Lily Moffitt scored on a bad throw by the third baseman in the third and Kami Merrill singled in a run in the fourth to put the Pios back up 5-4.
Cassidy Crusberg started the game, pitched 4-1/3 innings, allowed four runs on eight hits with two strikeouts. She was in line for the win until Eastern Oregon scored the game-tying run in the seventh. Abe, who pitched the final 2-2/3 innings and gave up one run on two hits, hit the game-winning single in the bottom of the seventh.
Game 2 | Key Moments
Lewis & Clark (3-1) stranded two runners in the first and fourth innings. In the former, Braylin Jenson reached on an error, and Samantha Gildersleeve walked. In the fourth, Moffitt led off with a double, and Kalea Kaui hit a single.
In between, Brackin hit her first home run of the year, a drive to center field. A solo home run by EOU brought the Mountaineers to within one in the seventh inning. Eastern Oregon (2-3) had the tying run on second base when a pop out ended the game.
Abe allowed five hits and a run over seven innings. She struck out three against 30 batters.
