GAME ONE RECAPĀ

#6 Linfield scored four runs in the top of the first and posted at least one run in every inning, to earn a spot in Saturday's Regional Final.Ā

The Pioneers put together seven hits against Northwest Conference Pitcher of the Year Tyler McNeley.Ā
Ā
Patton was the lone Pioneer to finish with multiple hits as she went 2-2 with a run scored. Juniors
Gina Ozuna and
Madison Scroggins each added a hit and an RBI. Junior
Lacey Marglin and Rosenbach each tacked on hits and Jepsen added a run scored.Ā
Ā
Jurischk was one of three Pioneers to see time in the circle. She threw a team-high 2.1 innings and limited the nation's number one offense to five hits and three runs (two earned).Ā
Ā
The Wildcats grabbed a 4-0 lead in the first inning on a sacrifice fly and a Jacey Leyvas three-run homer.Ā

Linfield added a two-out RBI single in the second and tacked on two more runs in the top of the third.Ā

Lewis & Clark struck back with two runs of their own in the third. Rosenbach led off the frame with a single just inside the right-field line. Patton followed with a single up the middle to put two runners on. Ozuna opened the scoring for the Pioneers with a double to left-center to score Jepsen. Scroggins followed with an RBI groundout to shortstop to make it 7-2.Ā

The hosts would add three runs on two homers in the top of the fourth and tacked on two more runs in the fifth.Ā

GAME TWO RECAPĀ
In a rematch of Thursday's NCAA Regional Opener,Ā Chapman used a flurry of hits and a strong outing from ace Rose Malen, to extend their season to Saturday.Ā

Patton and Scroggins recorded the Pioneers lone hits in the contest. Patton added an RBI and a stolen base and Scroggins scored a run.Ā
Ā
Jurischk went the final 4.2 innings and scattered 10 hits, one walk and four runs. She added her first career NCAA Tournament strikeout.Ā
Ā
After giving up four runs in 1.1 innings in relief on Thursday, Malen went seven innings and gave up just two hits, three walks and one unearned run. She added four strikeouts to move to 1-1 on the week.Ā

Chapman took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first when Ilianna Serna hit a two-run homer over the left-center field fence.Ā

The Panthers tacked on four runs in the third to stretch their advantage to 6-0.Ā

Lewis & Clark recorded their first hit and first run of the game in the fourth. With one down, Scroggins singled to right center and moved to second on an error. She took third on an Alvarez fly out and raced home on a two-out RBI single from Patton.Ā

Chapman would tack on two more runs in the fifth and seventh innings to close out the scoring.Ā Ā

- Alvarez closes out her career as the program-record holder in hits (186), doubles (41), at-bats (532), games played (192) and games started (185).Ā
- Junior Charlize Pope posted a pair of strikeouts in a two-inning relief outing in game one.Ā
- Gildersleeve finishes her career as the program-record holder in RBI (135), runs scored (132) and home runs (42).Ā
- The Pioneers finished the season with the single-season record for wins (32), conference wins (21), batting average (.343), slugging percentage (.475), runs (294), RBI (263), total bases (569), hits (411), doubles (72), stolen pitches (70) and hit by pitches (39).Ā
