Box Score PORTLAND, Ore. -- Trailing 24-22 in the third set, the Lewis & Clark Pioneers scored four straight points to take a straight-sets win over the Pacific Boxers, 25-23, 25-21, 26-24, on Saturday at Pamplin Sports Center.
Cameryn Nagaji and Kelsey Parker had kills, Izzy Willis scored an ace and the Boxers committed an attacking error to end the set. Until that moment, the Pioneers had rarely trailed in the match, taking leads of 21-16 and 10-3 in the first two sets, respectively.
Lewis & Clark hit above .340 in each of the first two sets. Parker landed 14 kills with a .448 hitting percentage, a new career high, while Nagaji finished .444 with five kills. Debi Chun had nine kills, Willis added eight and Isabel Artiaga scored six.
Paired with their Friday night victory over George Fox, the Pioneers are now 2-2 in Northwest Conference play.

Key Moments
In the opening set, the Pios weathered a late surge by the Boxers to start the match with a 1-0 lead. An error by Willis, an ace by Claire Stipsits and a kill by Chloe Elmore earned three straight points for Pacific to close the gap to 21-20. Kills by Artiaga, Parker and Chun, and an ace by Willis, tallied the four points the Pios needed to end the set. Parker had six kills in the set, while Willis had two of her three aces.
"It's fun being a part of this team and watching them love to learn and grow everyday," interim head coach Kaiao Nahale-a said. "I really think a shoutout is deserved for our assistant coach Annikah San Nicolas. She saw some things on film that we wanted to add to our game plan and it totally worked."
Lewis & Clark (4-6, 2-2 NWC) took a 10-3 lead in the second, but the Boxers narrowed the margin down and tied the match at 17-17. In the closing points, Sydney Richardson and Katie Shimaura earned rare kills to help seal the set.
In the third, the Pioneers led by two, 21-19, before Pacific (4-6, 2-2 NWC) scored four of the next five points and led 24-22. In all, there were 10 ties and five lead changes in the set. Chun had her best set with four kills and seven digs in the third. Likewise for Nagaji with three of her five kills. The Pios totaled a match-best two blocks in the finale as well.
