McMINNVILLE, Ore. — The Lewis & Clark Pioneers wrapped up their 2025 campaign on Saturday evening, falling to Linfield Wildcats in straight sets (17-25, 16-25, 21-25) at Ted Wilson Gymnasium.
Junior
Kaitlyn Jensen led the Pioneers with six kills. Fellow junior
HB Schuett added five kills and a service ace.
Christi San Diego chipped in three kills and led the team with two blocks.
Setter
Ruby Kuerschner orchestrated the offense with 16 assists, along with two service aces and four digs.
Isabel Meleán-Williams also contributed two aces and four total points.
Ainsley Mochrie paced the defense with eight digs,
Ariah Potts had six, and senior
Reilyn Sabado added four more as Lewis & Clark battled through extended rallies late in the third set. The team's strongest showing came in that final frame, where they hit .185 as a unit and traded points with Linfield through nine ties and four lead changes.
Linfield (9-12, 7-9 NWC) leaned on a balanced offensive attack and posted a team hitting percentage of .261 to secure the win.
With her 16 assists, Kuerschner moved into sixth-place in program history at the conclusion of her junior season. She will enter her senior year with 1,337 career assists.
Saturdays' contest marked the final collegiate contest for senior
Abigail Warrick and Sabado.
Lewis & Clark concludes its 2025 campaign with an overall record of 0-23 and 0-16 in Northwest Conference play.
