Box Score 2 FOREST GROVE, Ore. -- The Lewis & Clark Pioneers scored once in each game of Sunday's doubleheader with the Pacific Boxers at Sherman Larkins Stadium. The Pios were beaten in both to end the regular season.
The day before, Lewis & Clark won two against the Boxers, which was enough to clinch a spot in the Northwest Conference Championship tournament, which will be held this week. It's the Pios first appearance since the tournament began in 2011.
Sydney Cross and Braylin Jenson had runs for Lewis & Clark, which finished the regular season with a 13-11 NWC record.

Key Moments | Game 1
A four-run third inning turned the tide for the Boxers as the Pioneers dropped the opener, 5-1. After Cross gave the Pios the lead with an RBI double in the third, Pacific scored five unanswered runs.
Jane Wilson was charged with the loss after allowing three runs on five hits. Lewis & Clark, which had Cassidy Crusberg and Kylie Hill finish the game in the circle, didn't strike out any Pacific batters.
Samantha Gildersleeve and Hannah Urbach also had doubles for Lewis & Clark. Jenson finished 3 for 4. Pacific (17-19, 12-14 NWC) totaled 13 hits including a 3 for 3 performance from Jill Uyeda.

Lewis & Clark (17-13, 13-11 NWC) gave up 15 hits and totaled five itself in a 10-1, five-inning loss in the finale.
Alyssa Abe started, threw 3 2/3 innings and allowed 12 hits and six runs. Wilson threw 2/3 innings and allowed three runs on two hits. Crusberg pitched to the final two batters, the latter of which was Uyeda, who hit a game-clinching RBI double.
Gildersleeve hit another double. The freshman finished the season with 20 extra-base hits including a Lewis & Clark record 15 home runs. Jenson stole her sixth base of the year, a team best.
