Box Score NEWBERG, Ore. -- The Lewis & Clark Pioneers took a lead through the first three sets against the George Fox Bruins on Friday at Wheeler Sports Center before losing the final two for a 25-22, 18-25, 21-25, 25-14, 15-9 defeat.
Kelsey Parker landed 13 kills, and Makena Ohlmaier and Izzy Willis had 11 apiece in the loss. Michelle McGinn had 36 assists, and Ka'anelaokapu'uwai Pakaki-Pias pulled up a career-high 33 digs.

Key Moments
A good start to the second set gave the Pios an edge. Willis, Ohlmaier and Parker each had multiple kills in the set, while George Fox hit a negative percentage and were held to less than 20 points.
The Pios (5-2, 5-2 NWC) offensive game got even better in the third. Ohmaier had four kills on five total attempts without an error, two digs and a block, while Willis and Parker landed three apiece. Lewis & Clark hit its match best (.209).
The Bruins (5-3, 5-2 NWC) opened to quick leads in the fourth and fifth to close out the match.
